Yep- the air travels through a lot quicker
As was told a few years back- when thinking performance think air in, mix with fuel to burn, and then air/exhaust out

Surely not all blue lights are illegal? That can't be true. My brother has had blue sidelights in the day and blue headlights for 3 years on his fiesta. And my dads Mercedes came with blue xenon headlights as standard. So which ones are legal?

Just guessing that its a matter of how "blue" they are
If they are a white light with a very light blueish tinge, I see lots of them on the road
My Headlights have a very slight yellowish tinge when compared to me DRLs and sides

On a scale of one to ten. One being plain white and ten being bright blue like police lights... I'd say my dads are 6/7 out of ten. My brothers are 8 at least. And yet he has never had any problems...

If your dad's are factory spec they will be legal. Your brother could have just been lucky. Blue lights are illegal unless your vehicle is in the emergency services.

Surely it would take more than luck after 3 years. Maybe because it's a new car they assume it's factory spec?

How did his fiesta pass an MOT then?

Proper Xenon lights do fire with a slight blue cast because of the gas discharge within them.

Can remember the days you could buy a blank MOT Certificate for £50, not even a garage stamp on it needed

If you want to do it, do it.

You've had the majority advise you it's illegal, whether you take that advice is down to you.
