    Fitted on 3rd Jan and looks like about 2-3mm on sight glass, will take it off thursday or friday and empty so will post results, need to get some kerosene from somewhere first, any ideas?

    • Whats kerosene for- to clean? Petrol should be OK, or engine degreaser (Funny enough, I bought some recently )

        • Do not think you need to clean it out with a degreaser every time you empty it. I sure don't but I do not have a forge can.

            • Degreaser off ebay about £3 a bottle
              Would at least clean the accesible parts of the pipework to the can, and the connecting bits
              Might be a fine layer of oil. Would also want to inspect the pipes are holding up

              My OCC completely sealed anyways

                • I used kero on my Saikou Michi Catch Can. got it pretty clean, though this was on the Seat Altea TDI Sport Diesel which loved filling up the OCC with heavy gunk. Kero was the only thing that loosened it up.

                  • Probably details how to clean the Saikou can on the US website- will have a look after a year

                    ED- It dont say nothin bout cleaning the can as it happens- not that i can find

                    • Ok so emptied OCC today and no where near as much as i first thought, must have been gunk stuck on sight glass

                            Ah right- you will get a better idea after a couple thousand- thats whats recommened i think.
                            Altho the Racings seem to spit out a mug full after 500 mile
                            Might be mainly water tho

                            Mine will be approaching 2000 i reckon when i do it mid March

                                Condensation in the engine and that, in winter months
