Sounds like what you are actually looking for is a white or blueish light not just more light on the road. A light does not necessarily have to look like hids to be brighter than oem halogen bulb. Which is probably why it's took so long for LED Headlamps to appear???
They've had to wait till LEDs got BRIGHT enough, not just WHITE enough.
I've got a pair of 5smd sidelight 501s in at mo'.....they're lovely blue-white
but i'd say on par with the old 5w. Looking at the 13-or-more ones now
to maybe have blue-white AND brighter.
But, my dip/main are 90/100/120%+ rather than the HID-look ones.
The 90's etc are a bit whiter than standard but most definitely brighter.:cool: YELLOWS :cool:Comment
