Another question, does the remap help with the turbo lag on the hdi 110? or is the low end not really affected?
Slightly it moves the torque down the rev range a bit but Lag?????? wrong gear it will lag a bit but thats wrong driving style with all the extra grunt the all round drive is better laods better
I was wondering if you could shed some light on weather on not a remap of a ds3 the can be detected by a garage say ..... citroen dealer??
Short answer: No.
Long answer: Yes.
If ever your car was to go in for repairs, citroen may request a copy of the ECU data (they've never done this for any members here as far as I'm aware).
If Citroen were to trawl through the settings for your ECU and compare them to a default log then they would be able to see the map in place.
It's very unlikely Citroen would ever do this unless they have reason to believe the car is modified.
My mates 115 been mapped- he got just over 150 Brake from what i remember- and torque flew up to.
Detecting a remap- difficult, but if they check out the boost figures they may twig. Otherwise you will get a "It goes well doesnt it"
Problem is if they overwrite the map with an updated Citroen map. Then obvs you have to get it remapped again, and if thats on a test bench, a bit of a pain.
