Hybrid Turbo

Well, yesterday i had a crazy day... I've got the hybrid turbo installed on the 6th of may and yesterday i got it remapped with a slightly more aggressive remap. But started to have timing problems on 4k-5k rpm with ignition. as i have just installed new spark plugs recently (BOSH by the way, iridium), we didn't think that the problem is with them, head was cleaned from carbon deposits, so the only thought i had is that the high pressure fuel pump is going to it's end (they usually die around 50k kilometers... i have 52k). I've started to search for one... NOT IN STOCK... nowhere... the only thought was to buy one from BMW N14 engine that is installed in a mini cooper S. And luckily they had only one! from all of the variety of dealers we have in Moscow, ONLY ONE had it in stock! it costed me $500... it looks all the same as the one from the DS3, but when we took mine off, they had a slight difference on the side of the engine, so i couldn't compare it at the dealer... Mini Cooper , DS3 you can see the difference. I think its possible to unscrew the plate from the bmw and place it to the DS3 pump, but luckily(again) i received a call from my friend that has found me a stock pump, so giving the BMW pump back to the dealer will be a better decision... so we headed for it... Ok pump installed, all working great... third gear: 3k rpm, 4k rpm, 4.5k rpm, damn timing again... No other thing neither than checking the spark plugs - they were totally dead! i got them installed 5k km back... and they were dead... never buy BOSH, NEVER! they totally suck... it was around midnight when we got them out, so the only possible way to check how the remap works was by installing NGK ILZKBR7A-8G aka part number 5992... As i said it was already midnight so the only way to get them was from taking them out from a friends car))))) Peugeot 207 RC... so we did. At last my love has come along)))) everything was fine no problems at all! the experience from driving this little (as said before by lfcrule1972) "beast" was "AHUITELNO" (russian curse) close to "F***ing awsome"! This is not the most agressive remap that i can install, it was to check the condition of my car. I need to drive for some time with this remap. Later will get a better one. Then i will get a dyno test. Stay tuned)))))) P.S. sorry for my english)

Hybrid is the easiest route but read in most cases there's always problems and performance gains never that impressive for the cost. Just easier to upgrade the turbo to that from the DS3 racing (0375T3) and have no problems, but these cost £1200 or so.
I look forward to seeing your results...

Well not really much to say right now. Am running a stage 2+ (they call it stage 3+ for some reason) from etuners right now, as they say it's somewhere about 250 hp and my "assmeter" is experiencing something near it. A lot faster than a stock Golf R Mk.6 and a stage 2 GTI REVO, as much as stock STI's and EVO's can't do nothing about me on roll. Everything seems to be working fine, turbo is behaving good. My timing correction is 6 degrees right now, so i am waiting for my Aquamist HFS3-V3 kit to arrive shortly - install - chip - deno run - results place here!
