They are pathetic haha so I took it off in the car park haha (old filter was in boot ) lol ......... I also recommend getting an obd 2 adapter so you can look at the faults yourself because citroen are just idiots haha
Can I just say that the dealer is well within their rights here, they are not being pathetic. The warranty is a legal binding contract between you and Citroen where you agree not to alter the vehicle and return Citroen agree to cover the repair in the event of failure. Do you understand that if Citroen refuse the claim submitted by the dealer they end up with the cost of the man hours? All they are doing is covering their back in order for you to claim on your warranty, in rights their should report your car to Citroen which would black list it on the network.

Sorry for ranting but this sort of thing does annoy me!

Techinically u r right.....but bleedin eck... theres being pedantic, and being pedantic
Thought there was a law that unless the problem is associated with modification,, the warranty still applies

                  • Main dealers are never out To help anyone and that's that, they don't care about warranty jobs .... I took my car in for an ecu reset yesterday and waited an hour I could see the car from were I was sat after an hour Someone told me my car had been done ...... I watched the car for an hour and no one went to look or do anything and the errors where still there when I checked with my obd main dealers are only interested in ripping people off at extortionate prices that's my rant over lol

So if that's the case if I put racing decals on my car then the engine blows up it's void warranty and they won't look at it ... Lol

Ummmmmmmm....nope! Just know they had to order parts in......it's still under warranty so just let them get on with it!

I know it sounds pedantic but Citroen are really cracking down on modifications within the network, hence the reason why more dealers are becoming more hesitate when it comes to warranty work which involves modified cars.

I do understand that the realms of common sense should apply but in the legal world it does not.

Try to think of it like this, you buy a toaster and remove the grills in favour of something more powerful that now burns your toast, do you think the toaster company would replace the new grills under warranty??

Technically yes as the decals would void your paint guarantee...

But in that case I would imagine Citroen wouldn't have any issue, unless there was any modification done to the engine...

Look I don't won't to come off here as the bad guy but since I've been in the motor trade the rise of people 'trying it' is staggering!

                            • Fair enough Biggie- I hear what you say.
But if they try something daft on me- legal action all the way

The thing with MNJG is that the OEM warranty had almost expired anyways

                              • Looks to me like there is so many claims on maybe the Thp derived power plant that good old Cuk are using the Modded card to dip out on repairs

I better be careful because I stuffed a load of foam around my Sub to stop it vibrating ..........................was it Citroen foam ?
