Looks like there should be a round plastic cap that needs to be removed not under the spare but off to the side.

It is in the handbook. Satisfied.

The handbook certainly shows the two alternative locations for the filler - either next to the fuel cap, or on the boot floor, near to the wheel well...... unfortunately, there's no cap at either location.
Can i just ask... Are you positive your car has an AdBlue tank? I don't know enough about it to know which vehicles do or don't come with AdBlue tanks.

Am I the only one thinking this question would probably be better asked on a C4 forum?
This is the AdBlue site and suggests there is only one place for AdBlue to be added in a C4. If it isn't there, it's possible you don't have an AdBlue tank..
http://myadblue.co.uk/adblue-citroen/citroen-c4/
And from the same site:
The access to the AdBlue® tank in diesel cars can be found in three different places, depending on the model of the vehicle :
• Access next to the Diesel fuel cap in the fuel tank cover
• Access in the trunk
• Access under the bonnet
Manufacturers tend to standardise the location of the access to the AdBlue® tank so that it is next to the Diesel fuel cap. This is, for example, the case with Audi vehicles, while the tank access of Peugeot/Citroën/DS are all located in the trunk under the spare wheel.
Once you have found the position of your tank, it is now a case of filling it.cyclone> Fish is the man

Just go and pop into your dealer, most of us do the top up service for a tenner.

While we're at it, I can't seem to locate the ejector seat on my new aeroplane. It has wings, the new DS3 has "wings" on the front grille, ergo they must be the same??
