There is a chap near me who specialises in French cars, he has always serviced my dads CX (his pride and joy) and does the MOT on mine as well as fitting my pads and disks etc, il ask my dad if he has the right kit.

Could be a lot of things as said, may well be a sensor as a punt
That Torque pro app (Android mobile phone) isnt great at retaining fault codes as Ive found out. The dealer can read them when the app wont retain them. Have tried several other apps too which dont retain
So have now ventured into the "Connect to a laptop" situation, have just bought the lead to do it via the ECU port, but not tried it yet. The adaptor came with software too, although there is plenty on the Web available
Finding software that works, read and retain codes as well as erase them is not easy

Dealer best option, but then if it costs thats not fair. Surely a dealer can tell you what the fault codes are, and what they mean, before they offer a solution at cost
This happened to me recently, when there was no cost to me involved, as under warranty
Dealer were very good as it happened. Tight timeframe, which was adhered to.

Ok, back from Citroen, cheeky gits tried to charge me £66 for a diagnostic check. Anyway the fault code recorded was Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low and that it was a temporary fault. It happened when the rPM was 1143rpm, the coolant temp was 102c and at a speed of 9kph.

Buy that ELM327 cable and download Lionheart from etuners. Will help you with diagnostics.

Otherwise seems you have to bend over and take the Shitroen love.

Hardly bending over, they waived the diagnostic fee and my car is running fine.

Have got an ELM 327 cable, downloaded the software from etuners, nothing happens
Downloaded pretty much all the files from the disc supplied with theELM327 cable, and still no go

                    Any ideas or hints?

Works best on XP, think there's glitches using 7 and 8.
The software is a bit clunky anyway, a bitch to get it to connect sometimes but when it's working it's very handy.
The com port your usb dongle is using needs to be 0-9, when I set my drivers up it assigned it to port10, I changed it to 4 or something like that which was not being used and then that fixed mine.

Also, I don't seem to get it to work with those cars later ECUs like in yours CB
                        Maybe that's why

Last Sunday, about a minute after starting the car up (car hadn't been driven for about 6 hours), the temperature gauge immediately flew up to max and engine temp. fault message flashed up.
Radiator fan was whirring like mad also. Turned it off, fan still running turned it back on again; again temp gauge flew up with the same message and fan still whirring.

Turned it off again and popped bonnet, engine not warm at all. Disconnected the battery, fan went off, reconnected the battery and no more fan. Turned engine back on, left a few minutes on idle to see temp gauge slowly moving from minimum.

Been fine since. Will mention it at its 60k service in a month.

Cheers James- will have another play tomorrow. That port thing seems a goer.
XP is older than Windows 7 from what I recall? Not sure I got any hardware that uses XP anymore

Still hoping to get to yours before Christmas.
4 meetings at Magna in October/ November, now all dried up and reverted to London!

You should be able to tell windows 7/8 to run the app in xp compatible mode. Think its on the properties tab of the shortcut to the app.
