I have owned my DS3 eHDI 110 for about 8 months its done approx 16,000 miles and is out of warranty in May (yikes) and have been reading through the posts on MPG just out of interest. I am now slightly concerned with my figures my daily drive is approx 11 miles, 8 miles motorway 70+ mph (Naughty i know) and approx 3 miles stop start driving and same again on way home. My computer average says 44 mpg and has never dropped lower nor has it ever really been any higher than 45-46 mpg and i have never achieved 400 miles from a full fillup, i normally fill up when range reads 50 miles left or when i get down to one segment left on the fuel gauge. The car drives perfectly well, plenty of acceleration and boost from turbo still pushes you back in the seat. I'm not the most sedate driver but i wouldn't say i push the car hard never change gear above 3000 rpm as i don't feel the need as the power is adequate, so the question is...... What is the popular consensus is it low or about right?
If there is a possible issue i'd like to get it in before May when the warranty runs out!!
I have a 90 hid mapped to 129 BHP Mine has been really bad just lately 37 to mid 40's on average mine use do around 48 to mid 60 on that type of driving on long motorway work I'd get around this at 65/75mph

So took mine to dealers on Thursday and they said I had a faulty coolant sensor and a damaged pipe leading to dpf ain't had chance to take it on along run yet. But to and from work on Saturday the mpg was up by 7mpg on what I'd noted on previous days so hopefully it's now sorted

I've just done a 270 mile trip to Manchester and back from Cumbria in my 110 DSpor. It's unmapped and averaged 57mp. That was doing 80 on the motorway going down and 75 coming back. Pretty happy with that.

Can't wait to remap it like haha. On my usual 7.5 mile trip to work a full tank would get me at least 400 miles if I'm feeling heavy footed. Around 450-500 with regular driving

We have just purchased a DS3 110 dSport. I am interested in people talking about a coolant temp fault. Our DS3 only gets up to the bar just short of centre? is this normal?

Our consumption has been as good as 58mpg on a long run driving like granny. But this can soon drop to high forties in mixed / normal driving.

Thinking of getting mine mapped in May after the warranty runs out by Jamie @ Sp Tuning have to ask, does it really make a noticeable difference???

Mine also stops just shy of centre and quite annoyingly the cooling fan clicks on when I wouldnt have thought it necessary... Any thoughts shipmates?

Just before centre is normal for most. Not sure about the fan as I don't have the diesel.

Probably doing a DPF delete, probably reason fan is coming on.

Is it the fan or is it just regenerating the eco mode? They may sound similiar?

I have the 110 eHDI and the fan does come on from time to time when the gauge reads half way which as people have said is normal, so as it's not all the time i would say as suggested it's related to the DPF.

Fans stay on if you switch off during a regen to help cool off the DPF. A failed regen is logged in the ECU, a new regeneration cycle is initialised on next engine restart, when the engines back up to temperature and being driven at a steady speed. That is a direct quote from Jamie at SP Tuning who knows his stuff by the way, you can find his thread on here

thats a new one on me !! The fan is on when the car is cleaning the DPF or regenerating as its called (I think)

I have Eco mode on my car and never use it
