The interior spot lamps stopped working along with the lights in the sun visors and every now and then the brake lights would be on permanent. So after speaking to a citroen tec at my local dealer I changed the brake switch Both problems still continued. So his advise was disconnect battery wait up to 30 mins. Rather than 3mins to make sure it's completely shut down then check that all the fuses are ok and in fuse box. And pushed in correctly and not corroded and not worked loose or anything like that so that's what I did. . After 30 mins I proceeded to remove each fuse 1 by 1 checking they had not blown and not corroded then replaced it then on to the next all through the engine fuse box then onto the fuse box Behind the glove box all fuses where ok and not corroded And all located correctly so I reconnected the battery and got in car and noticed the symbol for the side lights was on but the light switch was in the off position when I turned ignition on had abs failure scroll across dash panel air bag failure and several others the car won't start the brake lights are on permanently with ignition on both side light and headlight symbols are illuminated but no side lights are on on the outside of car any ware the front headlights and indicators are not working at all but the floor lights are on inside the car . So I connected diagabox and there's about 20 faults in total 1 includes absence of Starter And addictive pump failure. And the list goes on an on various abs faults radio faults etc

Was the ECU previously tinkered with, before your faults started appearing?
They are a bit temperamental these ECUs, and maybe best left alone

No I ain't touched it to be honest my local independent service agent has the car now he seem to think it's either a mega fuse blown or the bsi has fried itself due to all the fault codes just a waiting game now to see how they get on really

Yes, I'd hazard a guess it's the fuse board under the bonnet (they have a bit of a history on pugs and cits) or perhaps an earth lead has chaffed through.

A mate of mine who has his own garage towed car to his garage so he could connect it to his computer but had no joy sorting it . Has we speak the cars in my local Peugeot/citroen independent service agent now they are having a look at it . He has apparently seen this happen before the car ended up having a new bsi and ecu. So got to wait now to see if they can reprogram the bsi/ecu or its a new bsi /ecu.

Nothing now all sorted it had partially blown the main fuse in the glovebox that supplies the power to the engine bay And not supplying the engine bay. and blown the brake light switch they got replaced. And all 33 faults yes did say 33 faults cleared from bsi and all is well [emoji482][emoji482][emoji3][emoji106]
