  • Miles till empty

Hey guys, my DS3 is in the garage today (faulty engine temp sensor) and I've got a slightly newer DS3 as a courtesy car.

I've noticed that on the fuel gauge it displays the miles till empty thing, is this only on 14 plates onwards?

I've downloaded the owners manual for my car and it's in there too though... How can I get it to display on mine?

Is this in the display behind the steering wheel or the radio? Just to clarify

      Sorry, behind the steering wheel.

I'm mega lazy so if I don't have to turn my head towards the centre dash to see range left that would be awesome.

Press one of the buttons near the speedo to change it IIRC. I'm sure it's in the manual...

Mine is set to range, it's very handy.

EDIT: Joni beat me to it.

Mine's a 13 and mine displays it as you've shown.

I did assume it would be that simple, but I had also assumed I'd tried that already, don't know what I thought it switched between.

The manual does show it, but it doesn't mention how to activate it. I mean, I guess pressing the button is incredibly obvious and I just went full retard.

                Thanks guys.

                  From the manual:
Display management button Alternates display between range and trip mileage recorder. Servicing information. Resets the selected function to zero (trip distance recorder or service indicator).

                    Well there we have it.

I was hoping for more pictures to show how to actually push the button because I'll probably fail at doing that too.

                    Maybe I shouldn't be driving.

I could make a small video? Maybe with a voice over and some visuals? Arrows, slow mo's lots of different views, some soothing backing music?

On mine you have to press straight on, sometimes the button will go in but not change the display. So it is complex. Press the button in the right way to change the obvious display.

All DS3's do this, just give the trip counter button (on the right on the dashboard) a good press to switch the display.
