Another point to note is the offset ie a bigger value will mount the wheel further inside the wheel arch and the opposite for a smaller value, it's generaly more important for fitting aftermarket alloys rather than the skinny spacesavers.
Have a look Here for some info on pcd's/bore and offsets for various makes of cars.
Thanks John55810Uk, gar074 and especially Studly for all the useful information - much appreciated. It would appear then that if the centre bore hole, PCD AND offset figures are not exactly the same as for a DS3 this restricts my search considerably to only about a dozen models (mainly Peugeots provided by Studly here - http://www.wheelfitment.eu/steekmaat...&merk2=Citroen), so it looks as if I can at least narrow my search and exclude the likes of Ford Focus, Rover/MGs etc. It also reduces my chances of actually buying a second hand wheel/tyre combination from the likes of Ebay because how many sellers do you know actually list all this information?? As I said to Lady DS3 earlier I may have to bite the bullet and buy from new unless some kind soul can suggest an alternative.

      Hi
you can reduce the £150 by £25 if you don't buy the box and wrap the bits in bubble wrap, which some people do I've been told.
My dealer quoted £240 odd, so I ordered from John Nicol, at least that way I saved nigh on the £100 and know that I have the correct bits and bobs.
I'd rather be safe than sorry and the gunk that Citroen provide does not appeal to me! Just wish I had paid more attention when I ordered the car, but tbh spare wheel was not top of my list!
      Good luck.x

You could try what i did for a customer.

I ordered a spare wheel kit on another DS3 order and when it arrived we whipped it out and gave to the customer who paid the factory option price, have a quick chat and see if your dealer will do the same.

Ah! But Biggie you are a legend of a dealer. They aren't all like you, unfortunately.

That's a great idea but I'm not sure my local dealer will go for it. I remember going for a test drive I had booked for a while and when I got there the car was nowhere in sight (out with someone else) and I was told politely to come back another time! Don't suppose you could do that for me could you, preety please?

I would have thought that the spare wheel option would have been instead of the puncture repair kit thingy, not as an addition to it, so wouldn't that car then have NO spare wheel or repair kit.

The compressor is quite useful in its own right though.

I was trying to say that if a dealer tacked an order for a spare wheel kit onto a customer's order isn't it quite likely that the puncture repair kit wouldn't be supplied.

I'm not sure what point you are trying to make above but yes you're right, you get a compressor and tyre sealant in lieu of a space saver. I didn't realise this myself at the time and would have gone for the space saver option at half the price that it will now cost if buying separately. Also the tyre sealant alternative could turn what could have been a simple puncture repair (using the space saver in between) into buying a new tyre if the sealant used made the tyre unrepairable (and that's if you could find a repairer prepared to remove all the sealant from inside of the wheel)l.

Yes John said the same - the price I mentioned earlier is for everything including foam box. BTW I thnk I read somewhere your DS3 is a Sports Red/Black roof combo? If that's true then all I can say is - great choice. So's mine!

I understand now and again you're right but what I could do is offer my unused compressor and sealant to the dealer who could then hand it to the new car owner (as a replacement for the space saver he didn't buy)! But how many dealers do you know, Citroen or otherwise (with the exception of Bigfeet76) would do all this for a customer? I have contacted my local dealer and vaguely hinted that no deal means no servicing, warranty work from me, but I doubt if it will do the trick, so I am waiting patiently to see if Bigfeet76 takes my earlier bait!
