My car developed a fault, the EML came on, there was no power when the accelerator was pressed intermittently and the pedal "shook" (it could be nursed to Evans Halshaw and the dealership) and the engine was shuddering when stationary intermittently. I took it to Evans Halshaw where I bought it from 9 months ago and they sent it to Evans Halshaw Citroen who said that there is a build-up of polymer in the inlet duct and is going to cost £900 to get fixed.
I was just wondering whether anyone on here knew of the problem that they are claiming etc or if anyone can point me in the right direction as apparently the extended warranty that I bought for £400 doesn't cover it.
Thanks.
Edit: Forgot to mention it is a 61 plate and it's a 1.6 turbo (D Sport+). Just relaying information from my sister so if you need any more details to help just let me know Thanks again. I am a competent home mechanic but only with old Japanese cars so you can talk to me like a car person too. Basically the car looks like it went into some sort of limp mode all of a sudden and now she's been slapped with a £900 bill as it's not covered by warranty (which seems ridiculous to me)
