They have to have given a reason, they don't just say no - if you haven't been given an explanation I would guess that the dealership just aren't telling you why they've declined the claim. My alloys were kerbed when I bought my car and like all Bellones, the wheels started to corrode and corrosion spreads. I tried for a warranty claim a few months ago for new alloys but as there was damage to the alloys not caused by corrosion Citroen said no.

Mine has just been rejected. The reason given was it is not an anti perforation issue so will not be processed under the warranty.

Will give CUK customers services a ring and see what, if anything, else can be done. Failing that it's back to the original dealers and seeing where I get with them, only had it 6 weeks and was taking comfort from the the fact it was under the citroen select package, so I assumed problems were easy to fix / work out...

Mine wasn't painted under anti-perforation, it was under mechanical defect as it has something to do with the wing mirror rubbing the paint or something - that's the way the warranty guy explained it to me on the phone. I had also written to Citroen who asked me to get back in touch with them if my dealership couldn't help me so make sure you contact them, they should hopefully help you out.

I'll try that approach, you must have a dealership who knew how to word it for citroen.... Fingers crossed.. Again.

I would never buy a car from the same dealership again, the experience I've had with them has been horrendous - they're idiots. My car has been extremely well looked after though and even they know that, they rang me to apologise profusely when they accidentally washed it when it was left in for a service. They know it only ever gets hand washed by me lol. Citroen had no reason to refuse my claim thankfully!

All the best with getting yours sorted!

I'm stuck with this as well! Bought my late '12 plate DS3 in March from a used car dealer, only to now find the rust under both mirrors and a bubble on one side! Have been in contact with Citroen and the dealer but they are both blaming each other. Has anyone got this repaired through a garage instead?

Washed the car yesterday and when I was polishing it I found about a cm of paint perforated and rusted underneath the chrome door strip on the drivers side, has anyone ever had an issue there or just the wing mirrors? Rang my dealership this morning but the warranty guy is on holidays until tomorrow so I'll be on the phone first thing in the morning. 3 year old cars shouldn't need painted!!

BeefMasta has a couple of random spots on his drivers side door, not under the mirror - a couple on the "main" bit of the door and one just above the chrome strip (I think, it's definitely near the chrome strip) The guy at body shop Citroen told him to take it to said he'd had another DS3 in a few months ago with the same thing.
Current: DS 3 Performance, Perla Nera Black with Sparkly Purple roof
Previous: DS3 DStyle 120 VTi, Perla Nera Black with Fuchsia roof

Bad paint seems to becoming a big issue with DS3's. Hoping Citroen agree to paint this door too!

I've noticed a small speck of rust appear in my driver's side door shut. Probably due to a scratch though, I will just be treating and repainting it with touch up as it's so small.

It's not huge but it's there and it'll bug me now I've noticed it. Only thing I'm concerned about is that the side of the drivers door was marked from what I'm assuming was people opening into things and the dealership told me they'd paint it before I collected it without me even asking. Not sure if they painted the whole door or just touched it up, but this is now the door with this issue.

You could probably treat and repaint it yourself to stop it getting worse since it's not in an obvious place. Would cost a lot more if it gets worse :/

I'm going to see what the dealership says tomorrow and if they don't want to paint it or Citroen won't paint it I'm just leaving it. In another few months I won't own it anyway hopefully lol
