  • Replacement alloys, Bellone or Aphrodite ?

It look like I may be getting replacement alloys after my Bellones corroded. Unless I say/ask otherwise the replacements will be Bellones but I'm fearful the new ones will simply go the same way within a year or two. Does anyone know if the 'Aphrodite' ones are less vulnerable to corrosion ? If so it may be worth my while asking if they'll entertain them as a replacement wheel type instead, (tho don't know if the cost is different)

Original Citroen alloys costs alot, so I would recommend after market wheels, Sparco is cheap and looking good
Citroën DS³ // THP 155 // Body Ruby Red // Roof Moondust
DS³R Speedometer // 19" OEM Cairns // KW V3 Coilovers

Reason I'm asking is regarding potential dealership warranty replacement.

Have seen that the Aphrodite also comes in gloss black (ie wheel is all black). Figuring that having a paint coat all over the wheel, rather than just lacquer alone in places on the Bellone, will be bit more resilient to corrosion.

        Is refurbishment an option?

Terrible for corrosion I assume you mean. Which begs question do Citroen make an alloy for the ds3 which doesn't corrode!!

Unfortunately anything with a "diamond cut" finish seems to be vulnerable to our roads. It's not just a Citroen issue but basically the only standard none diamond turned alloy I can think of is this. Which was standard equipment on old d styles.

Let Citroen refurb them under warranty then if the go again in a few years have them powder coated what ever colour you want yourself will be a lot harder wearing then
