It's a faulty/covered sensor, if the system detects 1 sensor is faulty it ceases to function.

Your reverse light will still work, Ben's issue was a little different (I guess you didn't get a service light, Ben?)
So how do I find out what sensor is faulty?

Ahhh I see. If it's only intermittent and they all work when it's working, then you might have to get in there and disconnect one at a time to test them.

How do you get to the sensors out of interest, is it just under the diffuser?

Edit: fancy a go myself [emoji4]

This is 100% correct, I had the exact same issue. Citroen stuck it on the diagnostics machine and it confirmed a faulty sensor, funny thing is I bought a replacement sensor off eBay (£60 ouch) and the sensor I was told was faulty (had printout to prove) was fine, it was one of the others. I literally put the new sensor in each sensor position then put the original back in if it don't fix it. Sod's law, it was the last one.

I also had the exahaust bracket problem, the one on eBay was spot on.

I couldn't be bothered to get mine fixed, I probably should at some point haha.
I bought a new rear bracket off eBay and it seems to be made of more corrosion resistant stuff; hopefully that works out better!

So I am new here and have recently bought myself a THP I have had an issue with the cars reverse light not coming on and the parking sensors not engaging. I wasn't aware of issue until I drove it at night and was parking. Didn't realise the car had parking sensors until i saw them. I've seen a message should come on the screen when reverse is engaged but I don't get this. Any help not worried about the sensor but I need the reverse light. Any things I should check. Help would be appreciate thanks in advance.

Hi Chris not had the ECU checked yet but did have it in with a local Citroen specialist. He narrowed it down do a break in a cable. Now I just need a wiring diagram so I can get it sorted. Can't seem to find one at all. He said it was the green wire but it goes off to about 40 others. Bsi was checked and all good on that part. He hooked up his computer and managed to get the light on via that. Thanks guys

Hi this is my first time of posting a reply. After having this same problem decided to look on you tube and found my solution.bmw guy said spray sensors with wd40 and give them a wipe as they get a lot of water in them. I followed his advice .it to a couple of goes and a few days to work properly but they now work and the service light cleared. Hope this is helpful.
