So i take the DS3 on a lot of long distance journeys but try and avoid filling up at the expensive motorway services. This means i normally plan my fill ups so i can avoid this and also know a rough range so im not filling up on the rush to work or at 2am!
the trip computer helps massively giving me an estimated range, which is good if it works!
the problem i had is that with 60 miles left of my journey the computer said i had 65 miles range, not wanting to fill up on the motorway at 2am i was happy except the fuel warning light appeared, buzzing at me every 2 or so miles, giving me the 'fuel too low' warning.
To be fair i had done 530 miles from fill up as the light first appeared, which is not bad for a HDi 90 with less than 2000 miles on it. Anyhow scared of being stuck and ruining my new engine i found a petrol station.
So anyhow the point of all this is that the trip computer seems to think i can go 65 miles on vapours, so it probably shouldn't be trusted!
Anyone get close to the estimates or know how far the reserve will go?
