Well weekend is ruined, Was advised courtesy car might be back yesterday, now its 12:00 on Saturday its arrivng, so lost my weekend away. So I will need to bus down to the garage now to collect this car. A C3 if it arrives before they close.
I had a c3 from new for 4.5yrs with no probs then went for the new shape fiesta when it was launched and due to it all going wrong and fords poor customer service thought I would go back to Citroen especially the DS3. So they have now been given permission to start stripping the cylinder to see what the problem is.

Dealership told me today that pictures of my engine have been taken and sent to Citroen Tech UK. Seems no one knows what the problem is. If garage cant fix it then they have to get a tech from Citroen UK Tech. Thats what I was advised today.

Just to add an update for my car, following the new clutch and flywheel (which took 7 months of arguing with the dealer to get fitted).

It is going back next week for yet another clutch (this will be it's 3rd). The car now shudders violently in 1st and 2nd gears. It is still knocking and clunking when I change gear, and in the last couple of days has started suffering from random loss of drive again. Definately mechanical faults to do with clutch/gearbox/flywheel.

What's so disappointing is that the dealer spent all those months insisting there was nothing wrong with the car, and that I don't drive it hard enough. Citroen technical take a look at and straight away agree with me that the clutch/flywheel is at fault, which is what I said ages ago! Having had those components replaced, it is now worse than ever. Whether they've done a poor job or put the wrong parts in, I don't know. We have a little Fiat Panda Multijet at work, and I have to say it's a dream to drive compared to my DS3...this isn't how it should be!

One of my mates noticed the front wheels juddering, and heard the car shuddering as I pulled away from his house the other night. Not good.

This isn't good. Can't believe they told you ya didn't drive it hard lmfao.

Can't believe the service you are getting is so piss poor.

Checked with my dealer today. its a 16hr job to remove the cylinder head. But have toled me to keep the courtesy car for now which is good. I telephoned the original dealership to speak to the chappie who sold me the car and he was off on the Sunday but was advised he would call me back on the Monday. Its Tuesday evening and still no call. No wonder people complain ref customer service.

Ok so since having my head gasket replaced and my timing belt replaced I've had fairly little to report. About a week after the repairs were made I had the turbo loss once and just ignored it.

On Saturday when driving to Somerset I was doing around 65-70mph in 6th gear and I accelerated to overtake the car in front of me and the juddering/loss of turbo kicked in again and it scared the shit out of me, not a happy bunny. Yeah its not as scary as losing a wheel but it wasn't nice I can assure you.

Today I'd just come off the Hanger lane roundabout, was in 2nd gear doing around 20mph. As I accelerated off the roundabout the judder/power loss happened again but as I had my window down I could hear that something banged/rattled under my bonnet. When I got to the Staples corner roundabout I sat waiting for the light to turn green, just as it did I put my foot down to move off and nothing happened, I looked at the rev counter and it was alseep. The car hadn't stalled, it had simply cut out without me noticing.

I am now really worried as I have to attend a wedding next week back in Somerset and my shitty DS3 may be the health hazard that my C4 VTR was.

Update from my garage. Was taken into the workshop and shown the cylinder head which was on the work bench. They have found the root cause but dont know how its happend. Something has got into the head and damged one of the whole bits with I think the valves in it the hole bit( sorry not a mechanic) and dented it in and taken a chunk out of it. Also fluid has got into this area too. No one knows what has done this but its alot of damage. many pictures taken for Citroen Tech by the garage just waiting for permission from them to either replace the head as mine is a right off or more and likely a full engine replacement.
This might help others having the sme prob you might need the cylinder head removed and thats where there might be a problem.
Will keep you posted. Dealer has told me to keep courtesy car for now and I am reporting from donington Park as I am up here on the rescue unit for FIA world touring cars.

Anyone get a very slight clutch judder, (And I mean slight) when pulling away in 1st gear. Even feels like a very tiny slip.
Not a problem in other gears. Not really a problem now, just inquisitive. Been there ever since Ive had it.
In the old days you just tweeked a couple of nuts and that was the clutch sorted
They are self adjusting now are the not? - a bit of grease somewhere mebes?
No SMART ALECs saying the engines gonna blow please (Cos I wont believe ya!)

Does this mean you just adjusted your driving position?
