Maybe somebody who is more technical than me could set up a new post to track who has compelted one of these forms etc? Make it a sticky?

Edit: Sorry, this was for the other THP board!

I'm in the same boat monkeynuts, I rang them yesterday to book in for oil and filters doing. And told him I'm not prepared to pay £80 for this and £170 in 4000 miles time! Still haven't got an answer but I will not be paying twice for the same things! I can assure you of this -.-

                  New engine after 6.5k miles.

Flywheel came away from crank shaft and ruined the bulk hold. Or something like that anyway.

Doesn't exactly inspire me with confidence for the future, let's hope it was a one off

No problems until last night (17.5k miles), driving up the motorway accelerating out of traffic got to 70 and it stuttered limiting me to 50/55. Engine management light on, cooling going crazy, left it to sit for 30 mins before driving it the 15 remaining miles home and it was like normal! Will be going to visit the servicing department Monday with my best guess being more of an electrical problem than mechanical.

Just had my 20000 service at 17000 decided to have it early because of a bad tickover problem
Booked the car into Spotiv of Chalfont even though its 40 miles from me................. Perries of Milton Keynes when questioned on the phone did,nt seem to give a toss about the prob so a drive was in order

The techie did the service and spent ages talking to me and driving the car and dicided to do a full system reset and fit a new set of plugs even though they are not to be changed until 40thou

After about a couple of hours and a few free coffees the guy poked his head round the door and said want to come for a spin .................................well all i can say is wooow I have had the car from 6000 and it has never gone like this ............he even told me about the hard spot you have to push through on full throttle to get the full beans

All I can say is the journey home was a pleasant one And the cost was less than a full service ......................Nice one Sportiv still got a bit of a lumpy tickover some times though ................well weird.............Steve

Stick with it mate, you'll get there in the end.

Does the 150 specify higher octane in the manual or on the filler cap?

Then they cannot blame it on that. The DS3R says 97 octane recommended, it does not state that it has run on it, I do personally, but that's through choice.

I reckon there's a batch of faulty PCV valves in use that are allowing to much oil in to the intake that's causing it to gum up, my engine issue was due to sticking valves.
