tell me this folks please, why is my dealer such an arse - when they were taking photo's of my bellones to send off, i mentioned to them about the drl's. they arsed about at the car for half an hour and came up with some kind of bullshit, something about 'dummy sidelight bulbs' etc etc amd said something about software they used had been updated to prevent them from overwriting settings. is it just me or is that code for 'piss off u little shit, we don't want to do it'?!

Some dealers are uncomfortable about doing this sort of thing which may account for what happened. On a side note you all should agree to sign a disclaimer nullifying the dealer against any action or consequence that arises from doing this as technically this is putting the car into a state that breaks the law.

Excellent explanation as to why these DS3 sexy DRLs cant be on at night.

Having read the whole thread i wonder, why don't Citroen use Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) mentioned above like Audi?

Is it just down to money?

So does that mean the Audi's are 'bending' the EU law?

Lol!! Pitco there are loads of thread about this on here, check out the suggested links below. In a nut shell there are laws in place on the position and spread of DRL's when deployed for night time driving - the DS3 breaks these rules.

Is there any recommendations bout the positioning of DRLs?
90% of other cars are horizontal
The DS3 is pretty much vertical

Will it work if I set it to auto or do I have to set it to 1 or 2 myself ?
