A very kind friend thought she was being helpful in releasing the control lever for me to get into the back of my 3 door Citroen DS3. Since this, the backrest of my car is not secure in place and the control lever mechanism seems to be broken. I’ve tried googling and cannot find a replacement part anywhere. Has this happened to anyone else?

Standard problem. Cable might have snapped.
