THP - Oil on rocker cover?

Now I can clearly see why its so complicated for you to fix it by yourself... Hmm...I advice you to look for some assistance with for example changing a wheel (in case of a tire puncture) also - because you can harm youself... Maybe in that case you should also go to your dealer - no matter how far is it? ;-) Brits ehhh...Last edited by tomu80; 12-11-2012, 15:16.

If i had a THP and there was any sign of oil where it shouldn't be, especially new, i would take it to the dealers. Its under warranty and any work carried by non Citroen bods can void that warranty as folk on here have found to their dismay.
And yes I can wield a screwdriver and have rebuilt engines.

why the heck would I want to do anything myself when that's what the warranty is for. You paid for it as part of the cars cost why not use it be like wasting money not to.Originally posted by cyclone

Careful
MatejDS/ Tomu -me having read a lot of threads on this forum over the last year, OIL on rocker cover can lead to serious problems
Maybe its not a serious problem
But if I were you I would take it to the dealer PRONTO!
Why risk a BIG problem?
Ive done almost 17,000 miles on my THP and theres no issue with oil on the rocker cover, never has been, and hope never will!

Same here, done already 50.000km without any problems or oil on my rocker cover!
If there would be oil on the cover, I would visit the Dealership to fix it. There's were waranty is for, isn't it?DS3 THP Sport Chic Blanc Banquise / Noir Onyx - Forge Pipe Kit - Forge Induction Kit - Forge Recirculating Valve - Custom Intercooler - H&R 25mm
