    Yes, fuel has two different grades depending on the weather. Diesel freezes faster than petrol so come winter time oil companies put an additive into the fuel to prevent this from happening. As a precaution you can also buy the additive yourself to add to your tank.

        The additive (stuff you put in your fuel tank with your fuel) will make the fuel more 'runny' and less liable to sucumb to the below freezing weather

        Good additives also clean the engine as it burns

        They will not solve all the problems- but will help!

            Not sure for Diesel vehicles. Just get the most expensive :-)
