    Becks the oil in mine is a yellow dark goldenish in colour but not black so yeah does look clean but that is oil. Wen you look closely you can see the liquid mark on the stick. But id agree it's not that obvious. N doesn't that stick go on forever!! Lol.

    My old citroen Picasso drunk oil a lot I would top it up every 3 months, no leaks but it wasn't right. If yr ds3 is drinking it take it back to the dealer.

      Cheers all.
      Added another 300mls and checked again. Looks to be half way between the top of the pointy end and the second mark (max) on the dip stick.

        Mileage rather than time is a more accurate indication of oil consumption, but topping up every three months doesn't sound excessive to me, maybe because I got used to the Alfa weekly top-up ritual!
