  • DS3 1.6 hdi 110 with ecu fault via lexia3 tool

Does anyone know what the following means or how to fix. Cars goes into limp home mode until mil id reset.
I have the lexia tool and can now read and change all the settings - including daylight running ;-)
With the tuning box added I have the following error codes now - until the car is remapped straight onto the ecu in 2 weeks hopefully when written i am trying to fix this error before - i am assuming that the extra torque is beyond the parameters of the ecu? Strange thing is when this error pops up and goes into limp home mode the afr g/sec goes over 100 to 130 and then max's out at 655 for 4 seconds and the error comes on and limp home mode.

Any ideas guys? - sensible one please ;-0)

    Fault code:
    c1391
Permanent fault engine torque non acknowledgement

    c1390
    Permanent fault engine torque regulation

ps i have temporarily turned off the esp whilst testing and its REALLY FUN ;-)

So Mark, With The Lexia Tool Does It Allow You To Set The DRLs As Always On ?...

Might be good if it means no re wiring to be done to do the DRL's

On the lexia tool there are many many options and i am still experimenting. With the regards to the led lights you have 3 options on the one setting which allows you to run the side lights at the same time as led lights. There is also another setting which allows the main lights to be on at the same time as the led lights - however this means that you always have the main lights on during the day etc.
I will create another thread for these options etc. When programming the bsi you also need the special 5 digit code from citroen to change the settings and also have the latest updates from lexia, so you can always upgrade your ecu's to the latest settings.
One thing that really suprised me was that the ecu's act like black box recording. They record all the last inputs ie throttle postition, clutch, gears, steering wheel postion, brake pedal force, lateral and yaw sensors, so in an accident they could read your ecus and know exactly how you were driving like, speed, and revs etc.

The fault log is great tells you everything you could possibly want to know about the whole car down to a faulty light in the boot.

You can turn off anything ie abs , esp etc.. but i wouldnt recommend turning the esp off unless you like wheel spinning everywhere... i am still experimenting today tho....

with the option to run side lights and led's does that still leave user control (ie you switch side lights on and led's stay on) and then when you put either dipped or main headlights on the led's go out?
This option would in my opinion be ideal

Stick up your VIN and I'll see if I can check the codes for you.

I have not finished experimenting - but at the moment - if you combine led to the main lights then they stay on ALL the time together - Except when in side light mode when ONLY the side lights are lit.
I have mine currently set to:
led and side lights on together (with extra running led's under main lights-linked to side lights) when you switch to side lights or main lights then the leds go off except the extra ones I have fitted as they are wired to the original side lights

                  summary:
as above OR on all the time(leds+main and side) with lights in off position but lights on and then in the on position led and main lights - side light control will then only give you side lights.

Still 1 question. Side lights + leds are imo the best sollution, but are the rear lights on in that situation? That's for me the most important

Good question - will check later for you by having the front lights and led lights to stay on even when switch stalk is off - will then check the rear for when the stalk is off ie daylight and see if the rear lights are on or off -

                            hi zack,

thanks for the offer, as soon as i have looked at and detailed all the options i will post them up and can meet up or wait til next meet - not heard if there is another one organised yet.

i live near worcester so let me know if your ever passing... will experiment more tomorrow regarding the options. spent most of the day yesterday downloading all the updates and playing...
turning esp off was like getting rid of the driving examiner out of car and off the brakes! lol i do think it is a safe good idea but there is nothing more patronising than the car saying ' your going to fast for my liking so im going to brake!'
They need a setting to turn it off temporarily and not just below 30mph! seems the only way at the moment is off altogether until a better solution is found. ABS is the main safety feature that is always going to stay on ;-)
