I'm 26, please tell me I'm still classed as youngish lol

While we are talking about the difference between the different engines...

I've currently got the 90 diesel as a courtesy car until my THP arrives. 2 quick questions!

    1. Is the throw on the gearbox shorter on the THP?
    2. And will I notice a big improvement in grunt lol?

It's been so long since I test drove the THP I can't remember!

Ye 26 definatly still young, must be because I am too.
      1. Throw is shorter, still a little long for my liking though! but does seem huge on other models, almost found myself leaning forward off the seat to get my vti courtesy in 1st, 3rd and 5th
      2. I expect you will love how much extra grunt you will get.

Hehe i had a loan car over christmas while my car had a new windscreen fitted (dont ask) it was the diesel and the throw on the gear stick was harrowing! i felt like i was going to have to get out of the seat everytime i wanted 1st!!

I had a special edition championship white type R and the gearbox was utterly amazing it had an action like a rifle bolt.

I do like the gearbox in the Racing though, its a massive step up from the THP (which i have also had)

Yes- the THP gearbox is a bit clunky!
Would love to get the throw reduced too

Thanks for clearing up the esp stuff. Idea of buying 155 bhp small car that won't let me have fun in the corners was scary I'm glad Citroen has thought of that. Who buys a car that fast to drive with esp always on??

Except the mentioned gearbox imperfection what are the drawbacks of this car?

Any breakdowns I should expect in thp engine?

BTW: I'm 22 so maybe I will become another young ds3 owner

I'm happy with my 120 VTi. Enough power for real-world driving!

More bhp is always better for me, saving for a remap to lift my 110 to 140 ish

Only a year younger than me

In modern thp's I'm not aware of any engine faults so far.

You'll just need to get used to the occasional rattle or vibration in the cabin is all.

Okay, so i guess I'll try to stop worrying about problems with thp engine. Thank You all for help

Now I'll wait for an offer from Renault (new Clio RS). Than I'll have to decide what car to buy
