Have you tried cleaning the wipers and the screen?

I use greased lightning crystal clear glass and mirror cleaner. I just popped out a rubbed the wiper with a tissue with a dab of washing up liquid and they seem fine for now

Might try playing around with the angle the wiper blade meets the window by bending the arm slightly.

The automatic wipers ? IMHO it's very good, works a treat for me and makes me look silly when driving the fiancee's Corsa which doesn't have this feature nor auto lights

                      Hi,

Wiper judder is 95% down to cleanliness - try decent glass cleaner (Autobrite Crystal is my favourite) and Autobrite Repel on the windsreen. In which case you won't need the auto-wiper feature, I never use mine as the rain just flies off! The Repel means I rarely use my wipers

                      Regards,
                      Clive.

I used Rain X before but gave up using it on the windscreen as it seemed to make the wipers really smeary. I know the idea is you don't need the wipers but sometimes you do and even new blades seemed to be affected

Maybe I should try the Autobrite Repel Clive recommends
