Even though I hate agreeing with Chris every time I have driven a stop start car it annoys me to no end.

Was about to start a new topic and then I saw this. I've been away for two weeks so the ds3 hasn't been used, drove it around today and had the window down and it sounded like a vacuum cleaner. And then after turning the engine off the fan went on for a good 3 minutes.
Having only had the car a few months and this being the first hot day I have driven it, I put it down to the weather and engine needing to be cooled more.
From what I have read this is normal, but it's a bit annoying, and worrying.

Not to be funny but I rather the fan kicked in more often than not at all
