We just came back from the South of France last week, done over 2500 miles, had to have the A/C on every day as it was so hot, doing 80/90 mph on motorways/tolls an never had any issues with power loss, apart from the little things the DS3 lacks (like drink holder etc) i cannot fault this little car, its great on fuel, drives lovely, smooth, comfortable and above all is packed with loads of gizmos - Luvin It !The Truth is Out There !

In my opinion you are less likely to notice any power loss with the diesel compared to the petrol, but it's the price we pay for all our little luxuries...I should never have doubted the Lord of Bacon!!
