I take it the rough idling is only when cold or all the time?

From what I see on the mini forums it costs about £275 and doesn't need an engine strip

Obs not an expert but could something be stuck open or closed on the engine as it seems pretty random.

OK I see what they are doing. Removing the intake and turn the engine to close the valve they are working on sucking used particulate at the same time as blasting then move on to the next valve closing it etc.

Only talking about this the other day with some one about the minis having the decode done and the head having to come off.

A 12 Plate car getting a de-coke what ever next I used to do that quite often on my old Morris Marina back in the day

If It was me the car would have been thrown back at the dealer giving them loads of shit about crap engines etc

The car is only young what happens when the miles pile on a de-coke every year?

Sorry to come across negative but you by a new car for reliability not pissing around haggling with Citroen about crap engine build and performance

I have a '61 plate THP150 and before that I had a '10 plate THP150. At idle, especially when cold they both sound horrendous, so noisy and rattly sounding, even when warm they aren't much better!
Nothing wrong with the current car though and it had it's 20k service 2 weeks ago so is freshened up. I wouldn't worry too much unless the sound changes.
Still one of the worst sounding engines I've heard at idle though (mine also sounds quite whirry at lower revs), one of the very few things that I really dislike about the car!
'10 DSport in Black/Carmen Red 'Daisy' - Traded back in
                    '61 DSport+ in White/Black 'Poppy'
'We do what we must, because we can.'
Entropy... It's not what it used to be...

Obvs rattling in older THPs could be timimg chain/tensioner issues
But only heard DS3WPR having a 155 that has had any timing (Chain) issues so far
