i was up in dunkeld at the weekend and the temp dropped to -4 and when i was setting off back down the A9 i got an engine management fault with a big red stop on the dash. called Citroen who recommended i get recovered to them so i called the RAC who arrived an hour and a half later and after a quick computer check said the fuel filter was blocked due to the water in the trap freezing and causing low fuel pressure. Citroen quoted £150 for a new filter as it wasnt covered under warranty (car has only done 10100) needless to say i didnt take it to them i used my usual mechanic who fitted it for £50 including parts. does anyone know if its possible to actualy drain the water of easily or is it a case of change it ragularly.
