WELL, i s'pose the "World would be a Boring Place........" an' all that ??

It's easier to see when the oil's older/dirtier/'burnt', but you're right, the coiled
'spring' makes it really difficult....the old blade-type is easier !

FudS ??.....as in Elmer ??

Ah, so it's not just me who finds the springy dipstick not the most readable out there..

Also what did they do on each service?

Paid £571 on my first service to cover first 3 services.

1st service, didn't need anything extra,
2nd service 2 front tyres and front pads were needed
3rd service needed front discs and pads,

44000 miles now, just had 2 more front tyres.

Obviously had to pay extra for discs pads and tyres.
No problems with car so far.

I have a recently purchased 2nd hand 64 plate 1.6t 165thp Cabrio. Initially oil ok on start up. However after being on holiday for a week, came back - fine, then after 160 miles home (motorway miles on economy drive) 'oil _ _' is flashing up prior to switing ignition - it then goes off, no other warning lights or warning log. Car seems to be driving ok - have checked oil level. This is up to top. Any ideas? I have seen 'oil _ _ _ _ _' problems but mine just has 'oil _ _'. I'm not at all techy. Car is under Citroen warranty til December.

A quick look in your owners handbook will tell you the answer to OIL_ _
There is something wrong and the system is unable to read the level
