Have you tired the BG K44 additive Chris
As SFG says, if its under warranty, you will just have to do what they suggest, but keep pressing them
Maybe whizz up Jamies and let him have a look with his camera
And get a walnut blasting perhaps
Are you running decent fuel?
Havent looked back over the thread, so sorry if these questions already been raisedsigpicJog on Noddy

BG44K used twice since I've owned the car, the most recent was two weeks or so ago. Only ever run the car on Shell - again more recently only use V Power and have used 3 or 4 tanks full.
The only thing stopping me approaching a specialist like Jamie is my warranty, I can't justify spending on problems that should be fixed by the manufacturer.
Thanks for the advice.

Just wondering what I would do if i was you- i would seek Jamies advice, and probably ascertain (Camera) whether walnut blasting to get rid of the carbonisation which could be caauing the detonation issue, is warranted. Would try 2 or 3 times with CUK for a while, then do my own thing TBH
Wish you lucksigpicJog on Noddy

Maybe your engine mysteriously has got "dirt" inside it too..
Update on my car:
Did around 400km this weekend, with lots of fast driving on a trip with my mates. My DS3 vs RR Evoque (150hp diesel) vs Subaru Legacy (150hp diesel). The car showed no hesitations at all.
One strange side effect since it's been in service: the temperature indicator is a bit to the left (cooler) side. Before it was always straight in the middle.
Will be driving another 400km this weekend (to the WEC in Francorchamps and back), so I'll be giving the car another test session.

Glad to hear it's seemed to have solved your problem.
My dealer has had to order in the cleaning agent needed to clean out the inlet valves, as my car was showing the Super knock fault code.
At least they've admitted there is a problem, and are doing something about it
