  • Over 500 miles from one tank of PETROL

Got in car yesterday and set trip counter (next to fuel gauge) to zero.
Drove 14 miles to petrol station and filled up. Car mileage at this point was 43088.

Set centre display trip counter to zero.

Have driven admittedly like Miss Daisy and 518 miles after filling up, (532 miles since setting off yesterday morning) now need some more gogo juice.

From one tank of petrol, I have covered 518 miles at an average of 52.3mpg. Mileage now reads 43606.

I'm rather impressed from its 1.6 petrol engine.

Nice! My range went up to 559 miles with a bar gone on Monday. Weather was terrible so stuck at around 45-55 in 6th for quite a large portion of the journey.

As soon as the weather cleared up it went back down again though, did about 325 miles and range says about 150 now.

I did a trip to rural Victoria from Sydney and back. The first tank I got around 850km (528m), but the second tank I got over 900km (559m) before filling it again.

The pic is what the gauge said afterwards, but I was impressed.
      Regards,

That's pretty impressive. What was your average speed?

I'm guessing the highway was quite flat too?

I'd be genuinely interested to see the range of a DSport diesel driven in the same manner as above.

Well I achieved 640 miles on the last trip to and from Southport (with a trip to Blackpool) over the Easter weekend, most of it was motorway crusing at 78mph (in case Den was about) but as always the ac was on and I like to accelerate hard...

Like Beefy I'd be interested to know what could be achieved by boring driving, it won't be me who does it though

You should do it, for science.

Driving "eco" the trip computer says I will get a range of over 900 miles when I fill up. I've never tried to get the estimated distance though, always develop a heavy foot! so far i've managed 580 miles with a range of just 70 miles remaining. EHdi Dsport+ Standard map.

900 miles from a full tank is around 85mpg, good going!

I get that from time to time but think that's v unlikely to be achieved I can average just under 600 miles to 48 litres mixed driving including around town...
