Remus, what about the Bluetooth? Has that gone?

Hey Gareth. Yes m8 the bluetooth no longer works, but the 12v socket still works. Not really fussed as the Alpine head unit comes with bluetooth and USB.

I would love to get rid of the standard unit but the cost to get all the bits is so much money for half of what I have already. The Alpine unit locks pucker!!

It's a new head unit they have just released. It's the CDE-126BT loads of features for the price. And the Bluetooth sounds better the the standard one when using it to make calls.


Gareth m8, its not really that expensive. All you need is the main head unit, plus the leads to connect it up. It's plug and play.

Think I might have to ditch the rear parking sensors as the connects2 lead is refusing to work with them. The distance display still works but no beeps.

Better sound from speakers though.

Just had mine done, Alpine iPod head unit from my previous car, seems to work perfectly with the control stalk, including car menu config.

This is the good thing about the DS3, it having a standard DIM and not a full dashfit stereo!

Totally agree. DS4 a step back in this dept IMO.

I have purchased the new Pioneer MVH-8350BT, and am waiting for it to be installed along with two sets of Hertz MLK165 speakers, a Genesis Profile 4 Ultra amp, Genesis Sub Utra amp and 2 x 12" Rockford Fosgate P2 Subs.

Once installed I will take some photos.
