If you have the centre dashboard speaker, it has silver trim, then you have the Hi fi Upgrade.

My sub will be in the boot, right hand side. One 10" sub. Can't post pictures until after the autosounds meet.

The standard sub fitted is a 6". I just disconnected this and fitted an Alpine SWE-815. It's and 8" 300 watts amplified subwoofer box. I been told to run it in for the first 30hr before I can hammer it. I turned it up a bit and it sounds great. Hasn't taken up to much of the boot.

Did you wire the new sub into the existing wiring? Signal, power etc.

Could I install the OEM subwoofer to my Dstyle? It doesn't have a sub so is it just plug and play? Thanks

Not sure about this but I would think there is an amplifier in there somewhere that you would need too..

The sub has it's own power lead so I ran this and the remote lead to turn the sub on from the boot up to the car battery on the glove box side. The remote lead was connected to one of the fuses in the internal fuse box under/behind the glove box. The Wired Remote Controller for Vol., Freq., Phase Setting, I ran that along the driver side. Disconnect the standard sub (just unplug it from the sub unit) and tap into the left rear speaker cable and connect to the speaker input cable from the replacement sub and that it. The unit miles better than the standard sub that comes with car, worth doing this upgrade, bass is a lot deeper.

It comes with a built in amp and all the cables you need, inline fuse, speaker cables etc... I never installed one of these before, but it took me about 1hr 40min.
