    Which engines should have it then?
    I don't think I've ever had it, mine's a June 13 build petrol. Yeah it doesn't beat checking the dip stick but it's a nice feature to have.

      Not really, as in 15 years of diesel cars, I think I only ever topped up oil once or twice, and my last C4 I never needed to top up during the 70k miles I drove it.

        Surely a warning light is helpful? Wht diesels not have a warning light? Cost methinks.

          You're getting muddled up, the light is to do with the oil level being ok, there is still an oil low warning.

            Yeah, that is my understanding. I have the Oil_ok on mine, which I believe is just to tell you if you drop below the Min level on the dipstick, with a further warning light/msg on display if oil falls to dangerous low levels.
