Fitted one of these today to protect the vertical piece of carpet which has a small hole next to the footrest mound! The OEM alloy one is already mounted as a foot rest.

I purchased my car approved used from Freeborn Southampton and they were great when my roof paint required a respray! My workboot, well the left one wore a small hole in the carpet next to the clutch pedal. This is now a heavy duty solution by me as I intend to keep the car for some time! Gradually replacing and upgrading my car parts piece by piece! Will post the photo of my fix when I get a chance .

Carpet wear in that spot is a common issue for some, it seems to be down to driving style and foot position when pressing the clutch. I think it's classed as wear and tear too so usually won't be covered unless you get a particularly generous dealer or sweet talk CUK into a good will gesture.

I had the issue in my previous DS3 but not checked my current one yet to see if it's still happening, it's had the official Citroen alloy footrest from new so hopefully that's helped a bit.

Back on topic, your footrest looks great Jez

Look great! My issue was below left of the clutch pedal hence the two footplate solution!

Do you notice a difference in sound with the panel filter or not? I'm considering getting one
