any comparison on the dyno with the filter jamie? Dont know if you will remember that induction kit I had fitted, with the aluminium pipe and filter behind the wheel arch, removed it and went with the OEM set up with a k&n panel filter, feels better and wasnt keen on the noise of the induction kit.
I see forge have developed a kit for the ds3 now, different design to the one i had fitted, cant be enough room on the ds!

That's right, there's not quite enough room in the DS to duct it down behind the bumper, the 207 kit is much better.
Best solution for the DS is to form some shielding around the intake to reflect the heat away and take just cooler air from the hole in the inner wing behind the headlight

As for the forge filter element, very poor quality in my opinion. The chrome went rusty on ours after a few months and looked exactly the same as a £5.99 cone filter on fleabay from china. So banged it in the bin and been running a universal Pipercross cone filter on the Forge tip since.
I'm going to experiment a bit with some larger 100-120mm tips. Makes a huge difference on the VAG cars doing this.

Like how mine is fitted now, I agree it doesn't make a real difference, if anything worse! The stock system is already quite good with a panel filter.
Now a larger tip with a filter to flow suitably and enclosed away from the heat in the engine bay should be better.
I remember a Golf GTi last winter turned up with a perfectly square patch of ice on the top corner of the bonnet, the rest had melted. Lifted the bonnet to see the intake had been boxed off and became fully sealed when then bonnet closed down on it so only allowing cold air into the sectioned chamber. Similar kits available for R56 Mini CooperS to.
