Well, a customer no show this morning(really p...ses me right off!) gave me some time to install our stage 3 mapping today. Been out on the road tonight testing and making some logs whilst the local roads were quiet.
Power is now massive, relentless all through the range to red line.
Would get it on the dyno tomorrow but the clutch is slipping now, seems I've found it's limit....doh!
Next job then....Sachs clutch upgrade.

Yes I can do clutches, but I hate doing clutches(getting too old). I'll do my own for sure but for customers I pass this work on to garage next door. There very good and do a top job at the right price.
I'll drain the gearbox oil whilst doing this and try the oil that Czar suggests, may help the notchy gearbox issue, we'll see.

Clutch still not fixed yet, just haven't had time. It only slips when I drive it, Michelle just pootles round so it's no bother at the moment.
I have just scored a new exhaust manifold from a JCW though. Been looking for one of these while.
Might as well upgrade the turbo at the same time, Michelle ain't gonna happy when she files the invoice for it :P

The bolt hole is like this, it makes it easier to mount the turbo.
This manifold benefits from straighter runners and smoother ports which help with flow...it's also 1kg lighter than the stock manifold.
