Will the pcv delete be necessary? as i've read in jamie's build log he had the forge oil catch can installed after doing the pcv delete
but as I've done the pcv delete an oil catch is much needed due to the large amount of crankcase gases being poured direct the turbo.
And I'm not sure if i'm gonna do that lol :P

You don;t need the bloody forge one!!! It's gigantic and totally over the top not too mention waaaaaaaay too expensive..do not forget that the THP200 engine on the RCZ and also the 175 in the GTi have the delete as standard from the factory and no catchcan apparently- Cyclone put some good stuff up about fitting the catch can and at the end of the day you can pick them up pretty cheap- the forge one is total overkill.

He was also being a little over dramatic about it pouring in, ask cyclone or Dave Clarke how much oil they're catching.

and what point were you trying to make Raain? Just out of interest? Or were you merely trying to be a smart arse?

I was just using the forge one as an example as Jamie had it and i might have put it down in a wrong way.

I'm not offended, I don;t like smart srses.

Still trying to see what point you were trying to make? I thought I shouldn't have to tell you about putting in a catch can because I see you comment on everything to do with mods including ones about fitting a catch can- so that couldn't be the point.

So basically, if that wasn't the point then what was or were you just trying to be smartarse?

I love answering questions Raain, that's wy I put stuff up but you said you were trying to prove a point- I'm genuinely rather puzzled as to the point you were trying to prove is all

Ahhhh- I didn't see that bit but it still doesn't say what point you were trying to prove?

Anyway, if you;re going for alot of horses I would have said the PCV delete is a must but thats just me though- others might say different. And with the PCV delete and the increased power you have to fit a catch can. A can with baffles is best but you can buy them without baffles off ebay pretty cheap and then add baffles yourself (few articles if you search google for 'add baffles to catch can'), as for the hoses then you can get them all over, cut them to size and figure out whrre you want to fit it- behind left headlight seems best.

I wasn't trying to prove a point........ As i said, i put it out wrong.
All i wanted to know was that if it was really necessary to place an catch can when u do the pcv delete. And all i did was use the forge one as an example cause jamie had one.

                            I would say 60% yes without a remap, 100% after a remap
