London Meet - Sunday 14 September - Krispy Kreme & Mercedes-Benz World

Hi everyone, hope you're all having a great summer.

Time to get things going for our next London meet I think.

Whether you're new to the club or you've been here for a while everyone's welcome!

Plan
9:30am - Krispy Kreme, New Malden
10:45am - Leave Krispy Kreme
11:30am - Mercedes-Benz World tour
1:30pm(ish) - Brooklands Museum

We'll meet at Krispy Kreme, New Malden for doughnuts and tea (coffee if you're that way inclined) then straight down the A3 to Mercedes-Benz World in Brooklands. On Sunday afternoons they have live track displays from their Silver Arrows show team and we can either look around all their exhibits ourselves or join the 11:30am guided tour for £2.50, (I think the latter is the better option).
Once we're done at Mercedes-Benz World we'll go over the road to the Brooklands Museum!

There's a small chance that this might clash with the Gumball Get Together again at Krispy Kreme but I'll keep you all updated, if it does we'll park in the Tesco next door, there aren't any works planned for the ramp up to the A3 so we shouldn't have the traffic problem again.

There's a long while until the day so hopefully we'll get a good turnout to this.

Love Brooklands, I used to drive past it often, where you could see the banking of the track. Amazing how much of the original track is still there, it was the worlds first purpose built race track.



Don't know if there would also be time to do the Brooklands Museum? But they do have a Concorde!

We definitely should! I didn't realise the museum was literally next door! I'll change the times around a little but I'll need to work out how to fit everything in.

Great place to meet - did a track day there and tried my hand on the skidpan....the museum is fab....pay for the additional tour too- its only £2 but gives loads of cool info.

The hotel is also very very nice - get in the hot tub on the top floor over looking the Mercedes track....will be France dealing with frogs legs, snails, horses and baguettes - oh and the home of Citroen - sorry to go off but if anyone gets the chance, visit the Citroen garage on the Champs elysees - 5/6 floors of pure Citroen!!!
