Ok, few ideas for the Friday.

Monkeyworld, Bovington Tank Museum, Beaulieu Motor museum. All these are around 70-80 miles from Swindon.

Haynes Motor Museum around 60 miles away.

Wadworth Brewery Tour around 30 miles away.

Or do something like spend the day in Bath(around 30 miles away), and do all the touristy things there.

Monkeyworld and Bovington are both good! I didn't rate Beaulieu motor museum though, not an awful lot there really.
