  • 15th International Citroen Car Clubs Rally(ICCCR) 9-12 Aug 2012, Harrogate, UK

    Dear DS3 Listfolk,

It is with great pleasure that i can invite you all to attend the 15th International meeting which is being held over a 5 day period in August 2012.

So you will be asking" What the hell is the ICCCR"?

Basically, it is an event which is held every 4 years since the early 1970's to enable friends and owners of all models of Citroen to get together, celebrate the innovations of the marque, party and meet both old and make new friends.

Owners of all models of Citroen, from the "B" Series of 1921 to the current DS range are welcome.

With the 2012 event being in the UK, the theme will be interesting English built or English owned Citroens (Did you know that they built them in Slough for over 30 years?).

In addition to being a "physical" event for those who are able to attend in person, we also will be turning this into a major "virtual" event which means that no matter where in the world you are, you will be able to participate.

We currently have over 700 vehicles booked and 1,400 participants - to find out more see: www.icccr2012.org.uk

    Regards
    Mick

Be aware that the price goes up later in the year to £90 i think. I've asked about day tickets but I know that they are still being sorted. Now they know we are here we should be kept informed though.

                Hi Folks,
                Some answers:

                Camping

Camping is free for those purchasing a 4 day ticket.

If you are not a camper then harrogate is the place to be as it offers a vast range of Hotels from B&B's to "The most luxurious hotel in the UK" (according to Trip Advisor).

We are currently negotiating discounts with the various Hotel and B&B Owner groups, however I can tell you now that Rudding Park, which over looks the site where the event is being held (and is the place that Trip Advisor voted #1 in luxury) is offering a 15% discount on their rack rate to ICCCR attendees.
Further deals will be announced on the website www.icccr2012.org.uk

                Ticket Prices

The advance discount rate for the 4 day ticket (actually from Wednesday lunch to Monday lunch) is £70 for a car and driver, passengers 16 & over are £10, passengers under 16 are free. The day rate is currently £20 per day for car and driver and £10 for passenger >16.

These prices will be increased on 1st January 2012 from £70 to £90 and £20 to £30, respectively.

Further price increases will take place on 1st June 2012 and 1st August 2012 as required to meet our budget target. BOOK NOW AND SAVE MONEY!

                CANCELLATION POLICY

Because we realise that many of you will not be able to book your holidays for August 2012 until January 2012 and that some of you may be working shift patterns that prevent you form knowing whether you can attend, we have introduced a "no questions asked" cancellation policy as follows:

"You can cancel your booking at any time for any reason up until 31-MAY-12 and we will refund your payment in full"*

*If you pay by credit card and cancel after 30 days of placing your order we are unable to reverse your payment then there will be a small credit card charge charge which will be deducted. ditto IBAN transfers and Paypal payments. No charge for cheques or BACS transfer refunds.

This means that you can book and pay at the advance discount rate with confidence that if you discover that you are unable to attend that your money will be returned to you.

There are lots more reasons why you should book now, rather than waiting and they can all be found in our FAQ's here: http://www.icccr2012.org.uk/FAQ.htm

If you have any more questions then please contact us directly via http://tinyurl.com/ICCCR-Contact

We look forward to seeing the "Virtual" DS3 Club being there in full presence!

                Regards

                    Thanks for the info Mick.

I know it's a year away but would anyone want to go for the four days, camping. We could set up and park together. I have a large tent (if the mice haven't eaten it) that we can use as a central club tent

The ICCR is well worth going too. Have only been to one ICCR and many UK only annual rallies in my many years of driving Citroens. Tere is always lots to do and see and its often good to go for maore than one day. You will see not only some great classic Citroens but also some fantastic modifide ones.

I am very pleased that there is a ICCR in the UK and will be there for sure

                          Hi All

I'm a Citroen Car Club member as well and would recomend any of thier rallies and as you can see from my user name you don't have to have an ancient car as well. I just take my Xantia or DS3 and you see loads of modern cars as well.

I'm hoping to go to the ICCR as its a one off chance of seeing that many Citroen cars together from all different countries.

                          Regards
