Common guys and girls, surely you would want to know how to keep your DS3 looking the business? It will be an interesting day. When autobrite had their summer meet a few weeks ago i was supprised how much i enjoyed the day, meeting new people, getting a few tips on what to and not to do etc and it was an excuse to have a day out and drive the car.

A lot of us already know how to keep our DS3's looking the business, bit too far for us to go.

Understand Hannah - detailing is just a bit of an obsession for me - dealers and cleaners use 'sponges and leathers' which are the enemies of making a car shine but completely understand the distance thing.

For interest please take a little look here - http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/foru...d.php?t=226370

DW has loads of useful info on it.

        Regards,

it did graham, my bonet needed sorting as when the dealer put the sealant stuff on they rested the bottle on the bonnet and it had two ring marks which only a machine polish would remove. I was very grateful for Dave who did it as a favour, and grateful to Clive for asking Dave for me :-)

I really enjoyed the day, it was worth the drive down, it would be nice if we could get more people interested for a DS3 meet there.

Well Clive has put the shout out on hear, but there appears to be a slow response...i guess it's not everyone's cup of char, but no doubt if fellow members gave it a go they would defo enjoy it.

As for your two ring marks, what a joke on the dealers part...glad you got them sorted, i bet they were driving you nuts everytime you cleaned your car.

i know, it did annoy me, appart from that the dealer did quite well, and the folk at the autobrite meet seemed quite impressed that it had been prep'd well by the dealer and virtually no swirls or marks are on it, i think it would just benefit from a machine polish, but thats all in good time, im not at that stage of taking a machine polisher and going near my car with it yet lol

I think you either are into it or not, its a shame really, because i thought more people would be up for it, never mind tho.

I would like to come (was hoping for insight into machine polishing) you did ask for between 10/15 folk. I have organised (or tried) 3 meets. The first one only 2 put their names down as according to members I asked there was no date, time, etc set. Next one was local so 4 attended and luckily Donington has 16 so far. So I have learnt from mistakes thankfully. Tips are get a firm date and time but leave yourself enough time to cancel if not enough going. Get something unique if possible. Finally don't give up as we need more meets.

Average attendance so far for all meets is prob 6

i think it would be good to get a date sorted now, so it gives people something to work with and at least people can plan for it, i think Clive needs to speak with Mark at Autobrite to get something sorted with a date. Maybe Clive could ask Mark to see if the few people that are interested is enough? Is that ok Clive?

You were more local than some of those that attended the SE meet in May Matt, but hey I'm thinking about the remap meet in the NW. I'm thinking of having her checked on the dyno especially after the track session at Silverstone.
