To be fair I've never actually been to Southend and wouldn;t have minded going but it's just 1 hell of a hike!! I'm all about meeting the people, not the weather. If you're in a good crowd and you're having a good laugh you don't notice the weather too much especially when you have a fallback plan

Interested to know what the weathers like ESSEX way (Southend)
I'm in the "Look out the window" school of whats the weather like
Just wet and very grey down Brighton way- not rainig at the moment though
Has the forecast changed?
Websites saying its moderate and torrential midday and through day down Bighton, Sussex coast
Says moderate at lunchtime and clear rest of day Southend
Does that give us some hope for a 11.30am meet?
