Have you tried us for insurance yet? We have specifically designed schemes for drivers with motoring convictions. IF you wanted to PM me I'd be happy to arrange a quotation for you.

    Kind Regards
    Dan

Thanks for all the replies guys, I've been ringing around the different specialist insurers, adrian flux was the cheapest at a smidge under 4k!

Read up online somewhere about comparison sites inflating prices on quotes so decided to ring some of the companies offering me ridiculous quotes on there.

Was astounded to find that tesco bank halved their quote by contacting them directly instead of going through price comparison. Its came down to 2100 for the year however theyve limited my mileage to 8k. Reckon I could manage if I take the train to work.

Going to ring a few more companies tonight but tesco definitely seems the cheapest. Would recommend to any young drivers with points.

You might have heard about strathclyde speed week then! Was caught entering the clyde tunnel speed gun.

Were any of the 'black box' companies able to help if you went direct ?

I always shop around each year as I've never had a good deal two years in a row from the same insurer

Went direct to tesco bank, they covered me for a much better price than anyone on the comparison websites could [emoji106]

Oh good reminder Liam, gonna call them at lunch, I've had two quotes and the price difference is £300 between the renewal (Aviva - silly price) and Admiral (better price) on our multicar policy...
