I didn't really have an opinion until it came to the vote however I think that younger folks like myself (18) have been screwed over by the elderly population who won't be around to see the long term economic impacts of this. I am lucky, I'm already in full-time employment but a lot of people my age in uni might not be so lucky when they leave due to the inevitable recession.
I also want to make it clear that I don't have anything against people who voted out, no-one can say which decision was correct at the current time.

I have paid tax for 31 years, have zero dept and had defended the country in numerous areas of conflict since the late 1980s, yet we both got a single vote to cast as we saw fit which is the way democracy works.

I suggest the younger generation dry their eyes, pick up their bottom lips, pick up the fluff from a ripped up teddy and get out into the world while they are still all political and cultural experts.

I don't see how the younger generation have been screwed over. I'm 20 and voted leave. You don't get anywhere sitting comfortable all the time.

I probably phrased it wrong I didn't mean any disrespect to the older population; I have worked since the day I turned 16 (Full time for almost 12 months now). I've had 2 jobs in 2 completely different sectors and I pay for everything myself. I pay my NI, tax, car insurance etc out of my own earnings, I don't think that it is possible for someone of my age to contribute any more.
However I do whole-heartedly agree with you when people of my age who have contributed nothing to society b*tch and moan about something they know nothing about. I don't profess to know everything (I certainly don't) but I understand your annoyance to the people of my age who do.

I'm not upset by the outcome, it is a major turning point in our country's history. My gripe was simply that people aged 65+ who remember a different age before we relied on the EU and may not be around to experience the long term impacts, are the reason the referendum went the way it did.
As I said though, what will be will be and as a country we will come away from this stronger.

And i am upset with the result, and younger generation will feel it more as time goes by
