Leave throttle body alone, not worth the hassle I'm told. You can get oversize bodies but these meant to be crap also.
Just need a decent exhaust, intake and a remap. There's fast enough at that and out handle most other cars out there easily. The
Got good contact for fibreglass corbeau seats, very cheap deal on a pair.
Yes track daying starts as you intend usually, then you get the bug, then you start spending. A trailer is always a good idea as there's a good chance you'll break it. One of those lads on Saturday, there rear wheel bearing collapsed and snapped the brake disc [emoji43] trailered home luckily.

Yes. Back of my mind is the concern that you break the car on the track. No trailer for me, struggle off (Tow even) then RAC. Ha!
Been told a remap not worth much- no Turbo obvs? If its good, will get one

It seems almost as fast as a THP, just no Turbo kick in. Got a BTB stealth exhaust, they seem sought after when researching. Cant take any Cat off- be too noisy
Noisy enough as is. Intake just a cone filter on end of some APH tubing

Lyden Hill December 10th Track day reduced from £160 to £105- 8 sessions all day. Would love to but the car not ready really.Shame bout the throttle body,
told it was really good and perfromance enhancing- albeit by the person who wants to do the job for me LOL

Might be interested in those Corbeau seats, altho am bidding on another pair on ebay atm

Ed: Got to take the throttle body off and give a good clean, sticking a bit. Thoight it was the cable, but dont seem so. Happy weekend then :-)

Get a towbar on the R and just rent the trailer for around £50. Then when you break it, you get the R on the track and tow it home.....bonus!!

Couldnt do Brands last weekend. 3 days before my accelrator cable snapped, and after trying and failing to fix, called RAC
They got the cable back in to get me home, but it was very tight, snapped again just as i pulled into home

So- sorted it myself. Then it just stuck all time. Various attempts at dealing with it, now the pedal sits right, and dont seem to stick anywhere near as much, so dont think its a sticky cable anymore. Throttle body clean at weekend then

Now i remember why i gave up tinkering with cars 20 years ago. So much effort and time LOL

Sounds great, and is fab fun running round the local housing areas :-)
Wife tells me to drive less than 2k revs round near ours. Ha!

Anyone wanna see a pic of the Clio as it stands.....go on...go on....

Just got the gearbox oil to change (When warmer as climbing around the floor) maybe a set of 10mm spacers to add to the 20mm on the back, and some Yoko AD08-R tyres which look like to be fab for track
Rest is pretty much done. Debating matched inlet manifolds, bigger bore throttle body (This one seems good atm just a little wobble now and again) and probably strip out the rear seats in Spring.

Then.... after a few laps to see how it goes  maybe roll cage and bucket seats- but thats probably next year.

Going off the idea of powder coating my spare set of wheels- almost cheaper to buy a brand spanking nice new set (Decent powder coating about 100-120 a wheel)

                          Your wish........my toy...

Rolling road early March- about 175 bhp i reckon, and really torquey

4 x Yokohama AD08-R for track time from May :-)

Decals from streetrace.org very helpful, remembered from my DS3 days

RS3 Tuning chip for another 10bhp at some stage
