  • Why my existing dealership doesn't deserve my DS3 business

Having been with the same dealership for the last six years, having bought my C8 from new (not cheap) from them, returning there for each and every service and MOT, it has just gone back to the service department (for the third time) to deal with a fault which they said they had fixed (brake pads worn warning message - pads checked by them and said to be o.k.).

Knowing that I bought a C8 because I have triplets, (the cars been in that many times that I am now on first name terms with the service department) and all the associated baggage that goes with them, they said at the time of booking it in that they would check to make sure that they had a large enough courtesy car for me.

Having dropped the car to them this morning, what do the ***** give me...................................?

A C1 :mad::mad: Are they taking the pi$$ or what?

I also got a quote from them a few weeks back for a DStyle+ and they were the most expensive of the three dealerships closest to me and more than £1200 dearer than my final price.

Obviously they do not give a damn about customer service, or repeat business, and as a result they will now be losing my business, not only the car purchase but future servicing of two vehicles.

Very short sighted in my opinion.

So Your Pissed Off Because You Don't Like The Courtesy Car They Gave You ?

Lighten Up, Just Ask Them To Get Hold Of A Bigger Car ?

In Terms Of The High Price Maybe They Needed To Hit Targets ? And So Other Dealers Were Able To Get You A Better Discount ?

Just Chill... No Dealer is Perfect

The point is they know me, know I need a bigger car, stated that they would book it in when they had a large enough vehicle and didn't do this.

I also fail to see why if they knew all this before they booked me in, I should then have to wait around and take even more time off work, whilst they go about trying to find a bigger car as there didn't look like too much in the service area.

Whilst I maybe pissed off that they gave me a C1, it's the lack of customer service which really pisses me off.

You expect it maybe from a Saturday helper in a DIY store, but not somewhere where you've spent the best part of £30k over the years, with a further £14-£15k in the future.

      I take it you're a dealer Zack.

Just Go In And Say "Look There's Been A Mistake, I Was Told By ******* I'd be Getting A Bigger Car As I Have A Large Family, Can You Please Sort Me Out" And I'm Sure they Will... As Opposed To Going Onto A Forum Venting Your Sudden Hatred Of This Dealer...

It's not a sudden hatred, as I have been disillusioned with them for a little while now and it has been brought to a head now as I am buying another Citroen which has just reconfirmed my thoughts that I should move to another dealership.

As to going onto a Forum, I thought that was what they were there for, debating issues, and this issue relates to Citroens customer service at a particular dealership and I know from other posts that customer service, or lack thereof, is often discussed.

You are right though Zack, now that I've vented my anger, and once again feel at peace with the world, I shall let this drop (perhaps politely mentioning it on the customer satisfaction survey) and look forward to taking delivery of my DS3 and writing positive things about the experience.

Time for a quick trip to the "Feel the DS3 love" thread lol

I openly hate most car dealers. I think it's a healthy kind of hate.

Why shouldn't they give you a courtesy car?

If they want the repeat business, it pays to be courteous and lend you one of their cars whilst they've got yours.

Especially at the hourly rates which they charge!

Where do they rank alongside Bankers, Solicitors and Double Glazing salesmen?

Buy your car from an internet dealer, then take it to your local dealer who you used to work for and get A1 service, and even laugh about how much you;ve saved with the reception... Oh, thats just me

To quote the american office, If i was in a room with hitler, bin laden & my car dealer & I had a gun with two bullets.

                            I'd shoot the dealer twice.
